SANAPUR LAKE

The natural lake with stunning boulder hills all around makes the theme of this locale.

The road you’ll take to reach Sanapur Lake will wind through paddy and banana plantations , before it wiggle around massive boulders precariously overhanging onto the road. Drive to Sanapur Lake and the ambient around the lake has character, you’ll savour.

You’ll also find local village folks offer coracle ride (fun ride) on the lake.

Sanapur Lake is still a less frequented place. You’ll not find a large tourist crowd in this locale.

ANJANADHRI HILLS

The Anjanadri Hills lies in Hanumanahalli near Hampi, Karnataka State, India. It is the birthplace of Hanuman. According to Hinduism, Hanuman was born to Anjana and thus Hanuman was also called Anjaneya, and his birthplace Anjaneyadri. It is located in Gangavathi Taluk

DURGA TEMPLE & VALI CAVES

The Durga temple is an early 8th-century Hindu temple located in Aihole, Karnataka, India. Originally dedicated to Surya, it has the most embellished and largest relief panels in Aihole depicting artwork of Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Shaktism and Vedic deities. Apart from its fine carvings, it is notable for its apsidal plan – a rare example among early Chalukyan Hindu temple architecture.

Though dedicated to Surya, the temple is now named Durga because a durg or fortified lookout was constructed on top of it after the 13th-century during the wars between Hindu kingdoms and Islamic Sultanates.

CHINTAMANI TEMPLE

Chintamani Temple is Lord Shiva Temple situated in Anegudi, Hampi. This temple is famous for it houses the spot from where Ram had aimed and shot his arrow to kill Baali during his fight with Sugreev. This is an ancient templeChintamani Shiva Temple Complex, Anegundi is located on the north bank of Thungabhadra – just across the river from Hampi. The temple complex houses the cave where Rama and Sugriva met before Sugriva challenged Vali for the fight.

Pampa sarovar is on the way to Anjanadri temple. This is the place were Shabri waited for years to meet Ram and Lakshmana.In the Ramayana, Pampa Sarovar is mentioned as the place where Shabari (also Shabri), a disciple of the Rishi Matanga, directed Rama as he journeyed southwards on his quest to redeem Sita, his wife, from the demon King Ravana.

The Tungabhadra Dam, also known as Pampa Sagar, is a water reservoir constructed across the Tungabhadra River in the city of Hosapete in Vijayanagara district, Karnataka, India. It is a multipurpose dam serving irrigation, electricity generation, flood control, etc. for the state.

Beautiful lake and must visit place in Hampi. You can stay near the lake in small huts and enjoy sun rise and sun set. The austere, grandiose site of Hampi was the last capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar. Its fabulously rich princes built Dravidian temples and palaces which won the admiration of travellers between the 14th and 16th centuries.

What Our Customers Say

Stayed here for four nights. The staff is super nice and helped us with everything we needed. The location is really good if you want to be a bit remote and relaxed but still want to reach Hampi and the lake. I would recommend renting scooters though. The food is really good and decently priced too.

Had a great stay at Aadhya Home Stay. on the couple week long trip to Hampi. Loved the place so much that I ended up spending almost a week there . Made me feel right at home. Definitely makes it to the small list of places I look forward to visiting again.
